Diatomaceous Earth, also known as DE, is a naturally occurring sedimentary rock that is composed of the fossilized remains of tiny aquatic organisms called diatoms. These diatoms are single-celled algae with hard, silica-based shells.

Beyond its industrial applications, diatomaceous earth is popular for its numerous household uses. It can be used as a natural abrasive cleaner for removing stains and grime from various surfaces. Its absorbent properties make it effective in controlling odors and spills. It can also be found in certain personal care products, such as toothpaste and facial scrubs, due to its gentle exfoliating properties.
