Anti-Child Labour, Forced Labour, and Human Trafficking Policy

Purpose
This policy demonstrates Soapmaid Australia Pty Ltd commitment to ethical and lawful practices by explicitly prohibiting child labour, forced labour, and human trafficking in all aspects of its operations, including among workers, suppliers, contractors, and agents.

Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, agents, suppliers, and any other parties acting on behalf of Soapmaid Australia Pty Ltd.


Policy Guidelines

  1. Prohibition of Child Labour

    • Soapmaid Australia Pty Ltd strictly prohibits the use of child labour in any part of its operations.
    • The minimum employment age is set in accordance with local labour laws and international standards, including the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions.
    • Employment of individuals below the age of 18 is restricted to roles that are non-hazardous, part-time, and in alignment with local laws.
  2. Prohibition of Forced Labour

    • No employee, contractor, or worker shall be subjected to forced or compulsory labour under any circumstance.
    • This includes, but is not limited to, bonded labour, debt servitude, involuntary prison labour, or any form of slavery-like practices.
  3. Prohibition of Human Trafficking

    • Soapmaid Australia Pty Ltd strictly prohibits any involvement in or facilitation of human trafficking.
    • Workers must be employed voluntarily, with the right to terminate their employment at any time in accordance with applicable laws.
  4. Due Diligence and Monitoring

    • Soapmaid Australia Pty Ltd will conduct due diligence on all suppliers, contractors, and agents to ensure compliance with this policy.
    • Regular audits and assessments will be carried out to identify and address risks of child labour, forced labour, and human trafficking within the supply chain.
  5. Training and Awareness

    • All employees and agents of Soapmaid Australia Pty Ltd will receive regular training on identifying and preventing practices related to child labour, forced labour, and human trafficking.
    • Awareness programs will also be extended to suppliers and contractors to ensure the entire supply chain aligns with this policy.
  6. Reporting Violations

    • Employees, agents, or other stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspected violations of this policy without fear of retaliation.

  7. Consequences of Non-Compliance
