Deep, rich and grounding, our Vetiver Essential Oil (Chrysopogon zizanioides, syn. Vetiveria zizanioides) is steam distilled from the roots for a 100% pure and natural aromatic oil with a slightly sweet, resinous, earthy character. Prized in natural perfumery as an excellent fixative, it anchors lighter top and heart notes and extends the overall wear of a fragrance blend.

A true base note oil, Vetiver is a favourite among aromatherapists for grounding, calming blends, and among soap and candle makers for adding depth and longevity to earthy, woody or oriental-style fragrance compositions. It presents as an amber brown to reddish brown, slightly viscous liquid, and is soluble in alcohols and fixed oils.
