What does Pineapple & Frangipani Fragrance Oil smell like?
Sweet, juicy pineapple blended with tropical frangipani, supported by honeydew, cedar, vanillin and musk notes.
Is this an essential oil?
No. It's a fragrance oil, a blend of fragrance ingredients designed for candle, soap and cosmetic formulating.
How much should I use?
Follow the supplier's maximum rates: up to 10% in candles, 5% in body products, 1% in liquid soap, 0.5% in lotion, 1% in room sprays and 25% in diffusers. Start low and build up gradually.
Can I use it in candles, soap and lotion?
Yes, at the maximum rates above. Always test candles for burn performance and scent throw, trial soap in a small batch (vanillin can cause some discolouration), and patch test finished body products.
Is it safe to use on skin straight from the bottle?
No. It's a concentrated fragrance classified as a skin irritant, eye irritant and skin sensitiser. It must be diluted within a finished product at the recommended rate, and finished products should be patch tested.
Does it contain allergens?
Yes. The Safety Data Sheet declares several fragrance allergens, including benzyl benzoate, benzyl salicylate, alpha-hexylcinnamaldehyde, limonene, linalool, benzyl alcohol, coumarin, geraniol and benzyl cinnamate. Check the labelling requirements for your finished product.
How should I store it?
Keep the bottle tightly closed, in a cool, well-ventilated place away from heat, sparks and direct sunlight, locked up and out of reach of children.
