• Eyes — avoid contact with eyes. If soap enters the eye, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

• Charcoal bar — the Activated Charcoal bar leaves dark residue in the sink during use. This rinses away easily with water.

• Turmeric bar — the Sweet Orange Turmeric bar may leave a faint yellow tint on light-coloured cloths or surfaces. Rinse the bar holder and sink after use.

• Children — suitable for use by children under adult supervision. Keep out of reach of young children when not in use to avoid ingestion.

• Pregnancy — the Peppermint bar contains peppermint essential oil. Consult your healthcare provider before use during the first trimester of pregnancy.

• Storage — keep bars on a draining soap dish between uses to extend bar life. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Are these soaps suitable for sensitive skin?
The unscented Pink Clay bar is the best choice for sensitive skin — it contains no essential oils and is coloured only with natural pink clay. The other four bars contain pure essential oils, which most people tolerate well, but those with known sensitivities should patch test first. All bars are free from synthetic fragrances, SLS, SLES and artificial colourants.

Are these soaps palm oil free?
Yes. All Soapmaid natural soap bars are palm oil free. The base oils are Australian virgin olive oil, coconut oil, rice bran oil, organic castor oil, organic shea butter and cocoa butter.

How long will each bar last?
With proper care — keeping the bar on a draining soap dish between uses — each 100g bar typically lasts 3 to 5 weeks depending on usage frequency. Avoiding direct water contact significantly extends bar life.

Is this box suitable as a gift? Does it come gift-wrapped?
Yes. The 5 bars are presented in a solid paper gift box tied with twine, with no additional wrapping needed. It's a complete, presentation-ready gift straight out of the box.

Are all soaps made in Australia?
Yes. All bars are handmade in Melbourne, Victoria using cold process soap making. The Australian virgin olive oil in the base is sourced from Victorian olive groves.

What is cold process soap?
Cold process is the traditional method of making soap from scratch by combining oils and butters with sodium hydroxide (lye) at low temperatures. The lye is fully consumed during the curing process — the finished bar contains no lye. This method preserves the natural glycerine produced during saponification, giving handmade soap its moisturising quality.

Are these soaps vegan?
Yes. All ingredients are plant-derived. The bars contain no animal products and are not tested on animals.
