From a kitchen bench to a family business
My name is Stefanie, and I am the creator behind Soapmaid. My journey into soapmaking began just over 20 years ago — a quiet passion that started at home and never really stopped growing.
Over the years, that love for the craft expanded well beyond soap. Bath bombs, bath salts, handcrafted gifts — each new creation a natural extension of the same joy I felt making that very first bar.
In 2022, my husband Dan joined me in turning that passion into something bigger. Together, we built Soapmaid into a proper family business — one built on communication, mutual support, and a shared vision for quality Australian-made products.

The spark

2022
A family venture
Dan joins Stefanie to co-found Soapmaid as a family business. Together they expand into supplying raw materials to soap makers, cosmetic formulators and craft enthusiasts across Australia — alongside their retail and wholesale product range.
2023
Certified Australian Made
Soapmaid becomes a proud member of the Australian Made Campaign — an important milestone that recognises our commitment to quality, local production, and supporting the Australian economy.
